Matěj

Maty was born eleven years ago and cried most of the day as a small baby, slept only minimally and was often ill. The first report that Maty had autistic features came in a year and a half, and today his parents know that his diagnosis is: a severe form of Asperger's syndrome with deep anxiety. Despite the unfavorable prospects of the experts, the parents decided not to give up anything and their daily efforts paid off - Maty is now integrated into the state primary school and has a clear idea of what he wants to do once in a lifetime.

Matěj Hošek was born eleven years ago to his parents, who expected his arrival with impatience and great love. Unfortunately, Maty was not a happy baby. He cried most of the day and slept only minimally. He was often ill and life with him seemed to be a struggle for survival. At 9 months, the first report from a pediatrician came that Matěj was not developing according to "tables", and in a year and a half the first diagnosis came in the form of severe developmental dysphasia, ADHD and autistic features. The prospects of the experts were not very favorable, but Matěj's parents did not want to accept it and started looking for help, but above all they decided not to give up. Life turned the whole family one hundred and eighty degrees in a single moment. The end of work ambitions, the setting of rituals and the daily performance of tasks so that the son speaks at least one understandable word and the tantrums are kept to a minimum. Although doctors were inclined to be educated in special kindergartens and schools, Matěj is now integrated in a state primary school with an assistant that the family found in the kindergarten, and who completely changed the lives of parents and Matěj for the better. But, as they say, where nature went, it added elsewhere. Matěj is a great lover of vehicles and a passionate admirer of everything related to design. Unlike his peers, he is already very clear about what he wants to be in life and is going hard on his own. He believes that one day people will ride around Prague in his model of a tram or metro, stand in the building of the railway station, which he already has designed in his computer, and wear clothes for which he himself will design a fabric print. Matěj's final diagnosis was made by psychiatrists this summer and is a severe form of Asperger's syndrome with deep anxiety. His parents strive only to give him a lot of love and to protect him from people who still have prejudices against this "disability". However, they would never exchange Matěj for a healthy child.

As his mother Michaela says "Maty is an original that allowed us to look at the world with completely different eyes and actually fulfilled my work dreams."
